What is the difference between textured & smooth vitreous tiles?

We stock 2 different lines of vitreous tile. The traditional textured finish of Trend's vitreo line employs an ancient technique that emphasizes the high reflective powers of light in mosaics.  Today mosaicists are looking for variety in materials therefore we also offer the smooth vitreous tile, solid in color with a semi-gloss finish.
